Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She is widely acclaimed for pioneering the study of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in legal settings. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive and she has been awarded numerous grants and has been the recipient of many awards at both national and internationally. She has offered policy and research consultations to numerous agencies and government departments across the world. She works as a Consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center - formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family policy and practice.
